A different way to make waterfall cards

Isn’t it wonderful when you find an easier way to make a card? This version of the waterfall card, really worked for me. I feel that the card is much steadier and there will be no issues with it, long term.

I used one of my absolute favorite Suites from the Mini Catalog: the Santa Express Suite. I have made several cards with this suite, some of them are very simple, all you need is to add pieces from the Memory Card Pack. I totally recommend it.

Measurements

Please, watch the video for the instructions. I have had several crazy weeks at work and just don’t have the bandwidth to type the tutorial! I do hope you understand.

Card base is a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock measuring 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″
Front of the card:
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
- 1 piece of of DSP measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. I used one of the cards included in the Memory Card Pack
- A piece of white cardstock, for the snow.
Inside of the card
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
- 1 piece of of DSP measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. I used one of the cards included in the Memory Card Pack
- 1 piece of white cardstock, measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″, which will be our waterfall mechanism.
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 2-7/8″ x is 4-7/8″
- 1 piece of DSP, measuring 2-3/4″ x 4-3/4″
- Die cut pieces from the DSP for decoration
- Waterfall decorations:
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 3-3/8″ x 4-3/4″. The layering piece will measure 3-1/4″ x 4-5/8″
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 3-3/8″ x 4″. The layering piece will measure 3-1/4″ x 3-7/8″
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 3-3/8″ x 3-1/4″. The layering piece will measure 3-1/4″ x 3-1/8″
- 1 piece of Rose Gold Specialty paper, measuring 3-3/8″ x 2-1/2″. The layering piece will measure 3-1/4″ x 2-3/8″
- I also decorated the backs of these, once they were adhere to the waterfall mechanism. They measure:
  - 3-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
  - 3-1/4″ x 3-1/8″
  - 3-1/4″ x 2-3/8″

A new fun fold, pop up card

If you like fun folds you are in for a treat. This fun fold pop up card, is not only gorgeous but simple to make. Pinterest is definitely the place for inspiration, even if I keep seeing pins from France, Germany, and other countries. Don’t ge me wrong, it looks like all these wonderful crafters write pretty detailed instructions, I just can’t understand them, 🤣 But, the inspiration is what matters!

I am aware that I am a Christmas junkie… I just can’t help it. This means one of the cards created in the live was a Christmas card. And yes… I am using the Santa Express Suite, which I simply adore. Using only the Merriest Moments stamp set and Merriest Frames Hybrid embossing folder ( and Peaceful Dear for one of the cards), I made 3 different cards for you, not only to show the versatility of the set and the fold but to inspire your creativity with different options. I am also using the Sun Prints Designer Series Paper, the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper and the Distress Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper. This fun fold is super versatile, as you can make in any size you want. The measurements I am providing is for a 6″ x 6″ card and 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Both shown in the video.

5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″

Card base:
- 2 pieces of Gray Granite cardstock measuring 11″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″ on the 11″ side.
Front panels:
- 2 pieces of DSP measuring 2-5/8″ x 5-3/8″
- 2 pieces of white cardstock measuring 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″
- acetate for the wreath base
- white scraps to create the flowers and greenery
Inside Panels:
- 2 pieces of white cardstock measuring 2-5/8″ x 5-3/8″
- 2 pieces of DSP measuring 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4

Explosion card video

The products used in this card belong to our Mini Catalog. The Santa Express Suite catch my eye as soon as I set eyes on it. This gorgeous card has several steps to it, and logically many areas and I am layering them all. Remember, when you do this card, you do you! Please reach out if you have questions or watch the video for more clarification.

Card base is a piece of Evening green that measures 12”. X 12”
- For the outside of the box you will need:
  - 4 pieces of rose gold specialty paper measuring 3-7/8” x 3-7/8”
  - 3 pieces of Designer Series Paper measuring 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”. I am using the Santa Express DSP.
  - 1 piece of white cardstock measuring 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”. For one of the sides.
- For the inside:
  - 2 pieces of Evening Green measuring 8-1/2” x 3-3/4”
  - 4 pieces of rose gold specialty paper measuring 3-7/8” x 3-1/8”
  - 4 pieces of DSP measuring 3-3/4” x 3”
  - 4 pieces of rose gold measuring 3-7/8” x 3-7/8”
  - 4 pieces of white cardstock measuring 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”
  - For inside notes:
  - 4 pieces of DPS measuring 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”
  - 4 pieces of white cardstock measuring 3-5/8” x 3-5/8”

For the lid: Working on exact measurements. While in the live, we realized the lid needs to be about an 1/8 to 1/4 bigger, due to all the layers….

A twist on the planter fun fold card.

This “planter” fun fold card is definitely a card you need to try! The version I saw was focused on the “planter” part of the card… I figure we could spin it a little and get creative. I can only imagine the happiness it will bring to the recipient. Let’s learn together how to make this card. Check out the video tutorial for the instructions. I made 2 different versions of this card, using products from the Mini Catalog. The card on the video uses the Kindest Gnomes bundle and Storybook Gnomes paper. These 2 products belong to the Storybook Gnomes Suite, a super fun and playful suite in the mini catalog. I love the the bundle can be used for all seasons. The second card is a Halloween card. This card uses a combination of last years products and the Scary Cute Bundle.

Outside of the card:

- 1 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock measuring 1-1/2″ x 5. This piece can be wider if you prefer it. It will depend on the design of your card. The Halloween card measure 2″ x 5″.
