Valentine’s mini album for my hubby

Oh I love mini albums… we all know that! Let’s work together on how to make this Valentine’s mini album for my hubby. You can make this for your sweetheart or change it completely for a birthday gift, how about for your mom? No matter the occasion, this is one project that will take your breath away.

I am using beautiful new suite that you can find in our new Mini Catalog. it is called Country Floral Lane and I love all about it: the colors, the Country Gingham paper, the DSP called Country Floral Lane and of course the stamp set and punch.

Altenew Educator Certification Projects

Hello friends! A while ago I was admitted to the Altenew Educator Certification Program, at the Altenew Academy. The program includes several levels, and each level has 7 courses. I was so happy when I got accepted to it, and I thought to myself, I will get this done in a jiffy…. lol well that didn’t happen as I had planned.

If you have been watching my videos, you know this past couple of months have been on the craziest side and I have not been able to keep up with the blog and YouTube channel… this means that my work towards the certification was also put on hold.

As the year comes to an end and life is starting to slow down, I want to focus on finishing at least the level and move forward with Level 2.

To pass each each class I have to make a card where you put into practice what has been learned and create a post. Instead of creating one single post per card, I am making a fun post that includes all the cards I made.

I am using Altenew products for the stamps and dies and Stampin’Up cardstock and inks.

This first card uses the layering technique, which I found out, I am not particularly good at! If you feel the same about layering, try using the stamparatus, a positioning tool tag works so well, you are not going to regret the investment.

Probably one of my favorite cards in this post is the one below. This card includes the following techniques heat embossing and using the inks to color the flowers. I love how this card turned out. I am submitting this card for the following courses Irresistible Inking Techniques and Let it shine.

You guys know how much I like little scenes and using my blending brushes to create backgrounds. The following card was made for the Scene building course and the Ink blending techniques. Isn’t this adorable?

Finally, we had to create a card for the guys…OH SO HARD! But I think I managed, lol. This card also uses the stenciling technique.

I would love to know what you think of this cards and which one is your favorite!

See you soon!

Maria

Concertina Fold Card

The Concertina fold is by no means as new fold, but it is definitely one of those folds that I think are memorable. I was a little intimidated at first, but I have to say, it is not difficult to make. Let’s learn together how to make this fun fold. Are you ready?

I am using for this card the Fitting Florets DSP and the Framed Florets bundle. If you have not gotten this product yet, hurry up because the last day to order it is 1/4/23. You really don’t want to miss it.

Hidden Pop-Up Flap Fold

I am back! I went to visit my family for about 15 days… and I have to be honest, I was so busy, between work, getting ready for Thanksgiving and getting ready for the trip. I was not able to keep up with the blog, although I did have my regular lives on Tuesdays… but I was not able to even write the measurements.

Here is the card I made right before leaving… using the Gnomes dies and some stamps form the Regal reindeer stamp set.

A different way to make waterfall cards

Isn’t it wonderful when you find an easier way to make a card? This version of the waterfall card, really worked for me. I feel that the card is much steadier and there will be no issues with it, long term.

I used one of my absolute favorite Suites from the Mini Catalog: the Santa Express Suite. I have made several cards with this suite, some of them are very simple, all you need is to add pieces from the Memory Card Pack. I totally recommend it.
