Techniques that make a world of difference

I rarely ever post something on a Monday, but today I had some extra time and decided to make a quick card. The Fresh a Daisy dsp has a sheet with an assortment of pictures in it. One of them has a base in pretty peacock with some decorations in wild wheat. At the beginning, it felt too strong of a color combination to me, but when you add some vellum, it’s toned down and it is perfect to play with.

One of my all time favorite techniques is coloring in vellum and the easiest way to do it is by heat embossing an image. I embossed the stamp in gold and used pretty peacock, coastal cabana, wild wheat and cooper clay to color the flowers. I am loving the end result!

TIP: use your blocks. Ink your block and use a a base to color. I used SU’s blending pens.
