I guess you can see from my post that I really like interactive cards. There is something about playing with these cards that inspires me. Double Z folds are super fun, but easy, and we all like easy, right?
I am posting here 2 different versions of the cards. A halloween themed one, because, hello! Halloween is like next week. And the other one is a beautiful thank you card for a good friend who hosted a Stampin’Up workshop for me. (Contact me if you are interested in becoming a Stampin’Up demonstrator at firstname.lastname@example.org).
Let’s start with the Halloween card. Isn’t this super cute? I used the Cutest Halloween stamp set and the Cute Halloween patterned paper. I made the ghost of pearlescent vellum and embossed them in silver embossing powder. I also used the Frightful Tags dies (unfortunately back ordered) which I used to create the spider web. I put a little of extra loving on the paper in back by ink blending it using Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie and Magenta Madness inks, that you can find here
Here is the open card.
To make this card, you will need a 11” x 4-1/4” piece of cardstock, scored are 2-3/4” and 5-1/2”. This is the piece in the back. You will fold the mountain first and then valley.
For the front piece you will need a piece of cardstock that meassures 3-1/2” x 9-3/4”, scored at the same spots as the previous panel: 2-3/4” and 5-1/2”. As you can see, we will use the longer area of the card first and will fold mountain and valley as well. Now you have the basic card. Just decorate away!
Here is my thank you card. I absolutely love the color combination in this card. I used the Sweet as a Peach Stamp and dies set and the coordinating designer paper called You’re a Peach
I will include instruction and template for this card on my Crafting Corner, so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter to get the password to my always increasing resource library. 🙂
